We end up across the road at "Flindt" but it's getting late. Our bus is picking us up at 10am to take us to the port for our 5-hour mini cruise. I have the "Full English" as I know I need to prepare for the free bar on the cruise. The bus turns up and we are on our way.
The cruise is fun, there are arts and crafts for sale on board and demonstrations on food preparation including how to fillet flying fish. There are samples to try of some Bajan foods that taste, well, interesting!
We travel up the West Coast and stop once to see if the "semi-submersible" can be lowered so we can look at the underwater life but unfortunately the conditions are not good enough. We head north once again up the West Coast and finally stop at a quiet beach for an hour or so to allow people to sunbathe on the beach. Janice went for a walk but I stayed onboard keeping the barman company!
The journey back to the port was uneventful other than being forced to eat cake by three buxom wenches dressed in period costume (we even had to take some cake back with us). The last 20 minutes are more fun as they turn the music up and try to get a party atmosphere going. It's difficult as there isn't that many people on board.
We boarded the bus back to Magic Isle and arrive back safely but possibly a little worse for wear!
Didn't bother with dinner just went to bed early - tired.
Drinks tally:
Phew, a lot! Don't know, can't remember. Beer, rum punch, 5 hours worth - you'll have to imagine!
