We went to the bank (which was air-conditioned to just above freezing, it felt like) and changed some traveller’s cheques. We jumped on the next passing number 11 route taxi and we were soon in Bridgetown. The taxi station is by the river and as we were walking past a big shoal of flying fish were seen by the bridge some of them actually flying out of the water.
We went to Cave Shepperd and bought some things. Janice wanted to do some more shopping but I'd had enough. We decided to have lunch in the Nelson Arms and Janice would carry on shopping while I checked my email. I had blackened king fish, it was really good. I sent a couple of emails in the Internet place behind the pub and met up with Janice again in the Nelson. Another couple of beers and we started to walk back. It was a very hot day and we stopped twice on the way back for more beer. We saw "Champers" on route and decided to have dinner there later. When we got back I had a few rum punches at the Beach Bar and left at sunset to get ready to go out.
The food at Champers is fantastic, I had barracuda and Janice had blackened dolphin, washed down with a nice bottle of Chablis.
Drinks tally:
6 Banks, 4 rum punches, wine.
