Up at 6am again, a look at my diary reminds me that tonight I'm having a drinking competition with the barman at the Beach Bar, I not quite sure how this came about but we've been ribbing each other about it for a few days. Now the day is here I'm feeling a bit nervous. (Concorde just flew past, it's ten to nine - I'm still not sure why people pay all that money for such a short flight! ) Anyway, back to my drinking problem - I'm going down the Beach Bar in a minute to have a big breakfast, my stomach needs to be in good shape for this evening.Breakfast is good and Ricky (the Barman) and I continue to make jokes about how the other is going to lose.
It's a quiet day spent just lazing around and not doing much. We also have lunch at the Beach Bar and I have a warm up beer. I agree to meet back at the bar at 6pm for the big drink off.
At 6 I'm back at the bar, having left all my valuables at the apartment! We start drinking our beers and start talking about life, the universal and everything. Ricky's friend has turned up with 2 girls. It seems Ricky is going to have to cut the competition short as has to go out with his friends! Oh well, we only managed to drink 6 beers each and we call it a draw.
I went back to the apartment and had another Banks from the fridge.
There's nothing on telly so we go to bed.
