Up just before 7, Janice has had 12 hours sleep! I woke up at 11pm last night and read my book for 2 hours. I made tea and coffee and read more of my book. It's getting really good now (Black House by Stephen King & Peter Straub). Janice went to the pool for some early sun and I made myself breakfast as Janice was ages. I went to check she hadn't fallen asleep in the sun and took a dip in the pool while I was there.

Back in the apartment, I had a shower and then got my diary up to date again. We haven't got anything planned for today but we need to post our postcards today. If you are reading this before your card arrived, don't let Janice fool you into thinking the post is slow, we posted late!

I'd also like a roti from "Roti Hut" today.

We jumped in the hire car and took our postcards to the postoffice and then went to Roti Hut. We ordered two "chicken only deboned" rotis and waited all of two minutes for them to arrive. Back at the apartment we sat down with some wine and beer and ate them. I wished we'd been then more often now. It's a great lunchtime snack.

After lunch we went down to the Beach Bar and saw Ricky and Robert there. I asked if I could have a photo of us together and so Janice took a picture of us in the bar. I wanted another picture on the beach with the sea in the background. At that point Wayne, AKA "Doctor Feeling Good", turned up so he is in the picture as well.

A few beers as usual and the rest of the afternoon was spent reading and sunbathing.

Late afternoon we walked along Rockley beach and back again to measure the distance with my GPS. This was so Janice could workout how far she has been running in the morning (3 laps at .56 miles). At sunset we walked down the beach again but this time to take some photos.

In the evening we can't decide where to eat so we opt for Bubbas (almost opposite the apartment building). We have managed to avoid it since we arrived because it's not very in keeping with the holiday - it's an American style "Sports Bar & Restaurant". 5 minutes in there and we are reminded why we we're avoiding it. It's too cold, the service is slow and it's too American. Oh well, at least the food was really good!

Not such an early night tonight, 10 for Janice, 10:30 for me - as I'm updating my diary.

Drinks tally:

5 Banks, 1 margarita.
